SATURDAY'S LACROSSE GAME A HUMMER; RESULT A TIE The St. Catharines Standard Monday June 12, 1916 The Athletics and a team from the 126th Battalion, C. E. F. played a very fast and exciting game of lacrosse on the lacrosse grounds Saturday afternoon despite the wet condition of the grounds. It was one of the most evenly contested games that has been played here for some time and ended in a tie 7 - 7, having been tied at three different times. The soldier team is composed mostly of last year's Brampton team with three men from Owen Sound. The teams were composed of ten men each, the line-up being as follows:
Spares, Athletics - Switzer, Campbell, Houston, Milligan, Glover, Murray Referee - W. Fitzgerald The locals tried out several new men and juniors and found a number of good men who will with a little practice make first class players. The summary of the game follows:
